By accessing the Amity Foundation Web site, the user agrees to abide by certain conditions. These are primarily the conditions that govern behavior at all Amity facilities:

  • The user agrees to treat anyone with whom he comes into contact, either via e-mail, a chat, or by using the Alumni bulletin board, with respect and dignity.
  • The Amity "group rules" apply in all instances. No character assassination. No acts or threats of physical violence.

The Amity Foundation Web site is provided free as a public service by Epidaurus, dba Amity Foundation, with administrative offices in Porterville, California, and Santa Fe, New Mexico, and numerous facilities in California, Arizona and New Mexico.

Amity Foundation has been designed a 501c(3) by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service, any all donations of funds, services or physical goods are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Amity Foundation does not discriminate in employment or providing services in any way, shape or form. We are committed to providing quality, compassionate care in a nurturing environment to our employees, their families, our clients, their families, and everyone else who comes into contact with Amity Foundation. We are proud to be service providers to the human community and do not discriminate in hiring or providing services to anyone regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, creed or for any other reason.

This site exists for the purpose of providing a public forum for the free exchange of information and ideas relating to substance abuse, incarceration, family services, women's rights, minority rights, and all associated topics. Amity is committed to helping everyone achieve human dignity and their full potential.

The contents of this site are copyrighted under the laws of the United States and international copyright laws. However, information from this site may be reproduced and disseminated ON THE CONDITION THAT IT BE DONE SO FOR EDUCATION PURPOSES AND THAT NO PROFIT IS INVOLVED IN ANY MANNER.

Information submitted, such as questions submitted to amityinfo@amityfoundation.com, are held in the strictest confidence and are not made public under any circumstances. If the user has any questions about the confidentiality of material submitted through amityinfo@amityfoundation.com, please contact Amity Special Projects Coordinator, at (520) 749-5980, ext. 212, or by e-mail at amityinfo@amityfoundation.com.

The information presented on this Web site is not intended to take the place of medical or psychological services provided by a qualified, certified health care professional. This material is provided for information purposes only, and should NOT be used as a diagnostic tool of any type. If you suspect someone has overdosed on drugs and are seeking information, please immediately contact 9-1-1, or other local emergency services provider. If you suspect you or a loved one has a serious substance abuse problem, Amity Foundation recommends that you immediately contact your family physician, a responsible referral agency or substance abuse treatment agency in your community, or ask for assistance in finding such a service by contacting amityinfo@amityfoundation.com. You may also seek information about coming into an Amity facility by contacting amityinfo@amityfoundation.com. Please indicate the type and level of substance abuse, age and gender of the abuser, and as much other information as you can. Again, this information is NOT made public and is used only to assist Amity professional staff in providing prompt information and service to you.

Amity maintains a mailing list that it uses from time to time to send out greeting cards, public announcements, and other information. The Amity Foundation mailing list is the property of the Amity Foundation and it is not leased, sold, shared or otherwise disseminated to any other agency or corporation under any circumstances. Anyone who is on the Amity mailing list will receive mailings ONLY from Amity! Your privacy is important to us.

As part of the Amity Foundation Web site, there is a section for alumni, called the "Alumnist." The Alumnist portion of the site contains chats and bulletin boards. Amity expects any information posted on the chats or bulletin boards to be mature, intelligent discussions. Amity Foundation reserves the right to restrict access to those sites to individuals who abuse them, as well as to remove any offensive, negative, racist, or other derogatory information. Persons using the chats and/or bulletin boards are advised that both forums are PUBLIC, and that any information posted may be viewed by any and all visitors to the Amity Foundation Web site. As a result, we strongly urge all users of the chats and/or bulletin boards to carefully consider what information they choose to make public. By using the chats or bulletin boards, all users hereby acknowledge that they realize both formats are public and hold Amity Foundation harmless and free of any and all liability for any acts or actions that may occur because a user posted information on the public chats and/or bulletin boards. If offensive material is detected in the chats and/or bulletin boards, please IMMEDIATELY report them to webmaster@amityfoundation.com.
